Desired Qualifications:

• Preferred Bachelor’s or Associates degree in civil engineering, surveying.

  • Land Surveying In Training certification with progress towards obtaining a Professional Land Surveyor license.

• Proficiency in all aspects of land surveying and map preparation, including techniques, principles of boundary control, and construction surveying.

• Familiarity with the laws and regulations governing land surveying in Oregon.

• Diverse technical skills in land surveying, encompassing ALTA/ACSM surveys, platting, land development, ROW surveys, preliminary design surveys, topo surveys, construction staking, deed research, survey map research, and strong organizational skills.

• Experience with GPS.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to work efficiently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

• Comfortable collaborating with colleagues to establish and maintain professional relationships.

• Solid time management and follow-through skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

Working under the guidance of a licensed Land Surveyor

• Service on a variety of projects, including multifamily, mixed-use, municipal pipelines, residential subdivisions, commercial developments, and public works projects.

• Conduct necessary field survey work and supervise survey crews.

• Operate survey equipment, such as theodolite, levels, electronic measuring devices, and other tools for measuring distances, horizontal angles, and elevations.

• Maintain accurate, organized, and legible field notes of survey work performed, documenting lines, angles, distances, benchmarks, and mathematical calculations.

• Utilize a computer and peripheral equipment to compile survey notes and create drawings.

• Perform survey activities safely and effectively.

• Operate Trimble Robotic total stations with Survey Pro TSC7 Data Collectors.

• Interpret, evaluate, and prepare legal descriptions of real property.

• Perform AutoCAD/CivilD drafting, covering tasks like setting up sheets, importing points, line work/drafting, Record of Survey drafting, boundary line resolution, and subdivision plat preparation.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • This full-time position focuses on providing design engineering for residential, industrial, commercial, and educational projects. Specific tasks include:
  • Planning street and utility designs according to county/city standards and conditions of approval.
  • Conducting hydrology/hydraulic calculations for stormwater management systems.
  • Developing stormwater run-off calculations, designs, and reports.
  • Collaborating with in-house disciplines and external subconsultants.
  • Performing Civil 3D drafting, including importing points, line work/drafting, generating and modifying alignments, grading, and compiling submittal packages.
  • Completing projects and special assignments as needed.
  • Utilizing a company-owned vehicle.
  • Being flexible with overtime as required.
  • Taking necessary actions to accomplish assigned tasks.
